Because I feel music is more of an expression before it is a discipline, I am a strong believer in giving tools of discipline as they are needed, rather than forcing a student into a rigor just because it worked for a different student with a different personality. Itaught trumpet lessons, general music courses and directed the childrens choral groups. I went on to teach high school as the Band Director at Walter L.
