Hello! I just graduated from Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music in 2019 with a Bachelors degree in Vocal Performance. I have been in over 60 productions in my life, including concerts, operas, operettas, musical theatre performances, and talent shows. I absolutely love singing and am very excited for the opportunity to start teaching! I have had extensive training in my craft, and have been taking voice lessons for 12 years. I teach Wunderkeys to pre-schoolers ages 4 5. This method gives them a head-start in math as well as patterning. I start beginner piano students (ages 6 and up) with Faber's Piano Adventures. I introduce intermediate students to Alfred's Premier Piano Course as this method starts them on solo repertoire. I find out what adult students are interested in and guide my instruction accordingly to keep them engaged. If my students are not having fun, then I'm not doing my job! Read More

I have been teaching on and off since 2010 and now teach almost exclusively from my home studio in Bloomington, IN. I've had the experience of teaching everyone from 4 year olds to advanced adult students and implemented various teaching methods for the many different minds learning styles. I always liked to look at the art of music like learning a language so I have since learned to create individualized lesson plans for my students that gives students plenty time to "speak", that is learning the fundamentals, phrases, and tools to share their personal story and to study the vast pedigree of music that has come before them. When it comes to playing the violin, the automaticism of such motions as in what is required to efficiently and effortlessly master one’s craft begins with the simplicity of a regimented practice pattern and structured rhythmic pattern done everyday. This must be cradled by a safety net of inner Development. Without developing the Heart one cannot develop the craft. I find a deep relationship between Meditation practice and Classical music intermindlged with Jungian psychology that I feel attuned to at the heart of the insular development of potential individuation that can propel one forward into the depths of the ecstasy of life that is pungent and honest.
