For voice I create my own custon lesson plans and use a variety of materials. Students will work on a great variety of repetorie from pop to renaissance. Students are encourgaed to learn to read music, with a great emphasis placed upon practical music theory. I aim to develop intellegent musical artists, foscuing upon intrepretation, critical thinking, historical considerations and creativity. For piano I general use the Faber and Faber method books unless I feel that a particular method would better benefit a specific student. Read More

Generally speaking, I use a learner-centered approach, encourage astute questioning, a cooperative stimulation of critical thinking, and I prefer an active versus passive teaching style. Regardless of the student's age, I want him/her to have fun as much as possible, so I strive to make the unavoidable repetitive exercises more enjoyable by facilitating the student's creative input. He is currently working as the Marketing Director for the Gospel Music Workshop of America Inc., Lexington Metro Chapter and has previously worked for the Student National Association of Teacher of Singing – University of Kentucky as their Marketing Director, and The Lyric Theatre & Cultural Arts Center as their Community Outreach Coordinator Intern where he was a key member in the administration of the Lyric Theatre Youth Summer Program.
