Instruments: Piano Guitar Cello

I began to tech private lessons back in 2015 in Brazil, and continued here in the United States. Before that, however, I gained most of my teaching experience tutoring group guitar lessons. My students will have the proper development by learning music and their respect instrument from the basis. The importance of practicing on a regular basis will always be reminded and encourage, as part of their development process. I am committed to help my students in the best possible way to achieve discipline and success in music. Read More

I believe that learning is incredibly individualized. Each student will have specific goals and ways of understanding instruction. Because of this, I believe that teaching should be just as individualized. I aim to teach each student in what ever way will best support them in their learning, rather than forcing all students to learn in one uniform way. I also believe in a holistic method of teaching, meaning we will focus on how singing feels in the entire body, rather than only focusing on the neck up. Read More

Instruments: Cello

My teaching experience dates back to my university days, as I helped my friends and colleges to pass through disappointments and difficulties encountered frequently in practicing, with cello at their hand. To find joy in playing the cello, take it easy and be relaxed is a foundations of string performance. The lessons of cello art is place for joy and relaxation. I am insisting not fully on regular practice, which is important on all stages of playing, but on thorough and mindful practice each time when ones take the cello. With awareness to the smallest signals of the body. Instruments: Piano

My methods vary according to the students interests and development. But I also have a guideline of references. For the beginners, I like to use Faber Faber, Boris Berlin's Four Stars, and some Alfred's piano methods. As we go to intermediate, I focus mostly on repertoire, sight reading, harmonization and, if the student likes, some improvisation. The books vary according to the student. For advanced players, the focus is in the repertoire, so probably we will be using performance editions for the repertoire, with preference for the Urtext (original text) ones. Read More

Instruments: Piano

My teaching experience dates back to my college days, when I was offered a teaching position as a piano instructor in an academy of music. I have consistently taught the piano for 15 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points which help students -especially younger ones- to progress and develop a passion for the piano. My students are encouraged to enter competition and recitals so they can stay focused and motivated to learn. Read More

Instruments: Bass Guitar Double Bass

My teaching style is catered to the student. We will go at a pass that fits with the students needs. The first lesson is critical in understanding the capabilities of the student and the pace at which they work. The musical interests of the student are of major import as well. Learning styles that the student likes and enjoys will create a much more exciting and interesting learning experience for all parties involved. Read More
