My background includes diverse styles and genres, collaborations from church music positions and choral accompanying to teaching piano lessons and working with singers and instrumentalists. Read More

I've loved music ever since I was a little girl! I graduated from William Jessup University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music, concentrating on worship leading and vocal performance. I've performed since I was eleven when I first decided to try music as a hobby, and in high school I realized that music wasn't just a hobby. It was a passion! In college I had the opportunity in my university choir to travel twice a year, touring with our musicians and singers. Read More

I use a wide variety of music in my lessons and customize the exact curriculum based on each student's goals, learning style, requests, and what I determine will be the right mix to maximize their progress and allow them to enjoy their practice time and the lessons. I also provide mp3 background tracks for most of the songs used in the lesson. I tend to favor Essential Elements for students (including adults) when they are first learning to play their instrument, but I also teach from the other band method books to accommodate what each student is using in their respective band class. Music is emotional art and I like to explain it how it easy if you know basic knowledge. For me it's important making good progress in small think of student work. These new small developments are required to be accomplished during my lessons. My style is more practice then explaining. I try to show emotion in music rather than just playing simple notes. My style of teaching is not directly one ways for all students,I have to change it always when I can see that some are wrong,or don't works well. Read More

My teaching experience dates back to 1996, when I began teaching lessons to children in at-risk communities in dance and music, while going through school in Oakland. I then continued in Stockton, CA, where I developed music and dance programs in the Recreation Centers, and later developed my own non-profit organization. I began writing my own grants to teach classes in after-school programs, and in 2013, while attending my music program, I began instucting private music classes in classical guitar, beg. piano and beg. voice.
