Alben began studying classical piano at the age of 7 and guitar at the age of 15 at the Rhode Island Philharmonic School in Providence, RI. At the age of 14, he began studying under Dr. Irina Tchantceva, participating in various festivals and competitions around the New England area. In university, he studied under Dr. Sandra Hebert and Dr. Ralf Gawlick for performance and composition, respectively and graduated from Boston College with his B.A in Music with a concentration in Performance and Composition, as well as a degree in Political Science in May, 2019.  She has sung in the Full Gospel Baptist Mass Recording Choir, Life Center Cathedral Mass Choir, and the Louisiana State Full Gospel Recording Choir where she was also a featured soloist. She has sung background for the powerful Mrs. Ann Nesby, Eric Benet, Michael McDonald, and Wynonna Judd. She was one of the featured background singers for the AARP Songs of Soul concert at Philips Arena. She worked with such notable artists as: Debbie Allen, Ann Nesby, Chaka Khan, Pastor Shirley Ceasar, CeCe Winans, Queen Latifah, Patti Austin, Yolanda Adams, Dionne Warwick, Paris Bennett, and little Miss Jamiah from the movie August Rush.
