I began performing solo and touring around Europe with a Jazz-Funk band, The Freeks. At the same time I began studying at the Grazyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Lodz, Poland to finally move to Miami and graduate from Florida International Univeristy with BA in Music. I performed for Royal Caribbean International Cruise Line for 5 years, which included teaching piano classes for the Royal Caribbean Academy. I began my teaching career as a middle and high school band director and taught beginning classes and lessons as well as concert and marching bands. When my daughters were born, I began teaching private lessons on piano and clarinet. I really enjoyed seeing how much my students would progress in private lessons and how successful they were in recitals and at piano guild contest. I typically use a combination of methods in the private lesson setting-method books, etude books, books for technique, solo repertoire, and pop/rock/jazz music and or charts for contemporary study. For beginners, I like Essential Elements 2000, Faber Method, Suzuki solo books, and easy pop music books. For more advanced students, I will incorporate advanced methods such as etude books/orchestral excerpts along with repertoire geared more towards polishing for recital or performance. Read More

I tend to be very patient with students and understand that if they are not enjoying the lesson they will not learn or practice as much as they should. I try to get my students playing music quickly, once they are playing and not just practicing it becomes fun. I use small duo pieces that allows the student to learn a very simple melody then play along with me. This become quite enjoyable in a very short amount of time. Read More

I started teaching shortly after getting my Diploma from the National Guild of Piano. I started teaching part-time in college and eventually started teaching full time once I had finished. I teach all levels and all ages but I love teaching the little ones. I use a lot of games in my teaching to make piano learning fun.
