I can teach many instruments that I have taught myself how to play well and efficiently. I play in many bands and I am always learning new styles of music. My best instruments are Piano, Bass, Drums, Ukulele, Guitar, Percussion, Harmonica, Recorder, Tin Whistle, Mandolin and also Trumpet. My secondary instruments are everything else. I can fool around on Violin, Cello, Banjo and Trombone as an amateur. I could blow into a Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet, French Horn and probably anything else I can get my hands on, but I would not feel comfortable teaching them yet because I don't have enough time in the world to learn them and figure out how to play them myself and get as good as I can on those instruments. I am fortunate to have met, associated and studied with, performed and recorded with some of the greatest musical minds of the innovators of traditional modern jazz, and also a few of the eternally legendary classical musicians. I have two degrees in music but more important is the gift that I have been given to know these amazing people in my life. I've received three National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Fellowships to pursue music in the direction of my choice. Read More

I have always felt an innate passion for music. From a young age, you could be sure to find me by my family's upright piano - either plunking pretend melodies on its keys or hiding in the magical world I thought existed behind it. Soon, I joined every performing and competitive ensemble I could. Each new form of music and expression was wonderful to me. Singing, theater, mallet percussion, vibraphone, saxophone, jazz, learning different musical forms, I couldn't get enough! Read More

I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and communicate with my love of music. I obtained Doctorate in Musical Art degrees in Piano Performance and Collaborative Piano, and teach in a conservatory in New York City. Performing all over the world has been one of the greater experiences of my life as a musician, and my playing was described as soaring with a thrilling panache, and then with great warmth and suppleness. I began teaching while I was pursuing my undergraduate degree at Malone University, where I earned a degree in Commercial Music Technology, but also studied piano pedagogy. I taught students through the Piano Preparatory department at Malone for two years. After graduating and moving to New York, I began to teach privately. I also spent a year teaching at the Mike Risko Music School in Ossining, New York. I have a small number of students who I teach in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Read More
Instruments: Piano Voice
I work with a variety of learning methods including Hal Leonard, John Thompson, Bastien, Alfred, Hanon, Czerny and Faber. I select methodology and solo repertoire to best improve my students technique while at the same time keeping their interest and enthusiasm. I also encourage music compostition, arranging and improvisation to those students who express an interest and desire to learn who to write and compose music. In addition to teaching the fundamentals of piano I try to engage with my students to learn how to make music on the piano or voice. Read More

Half musician and half computer programmer, I graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Theory and Composition. Since then I have been performing original electronic music in the greater NYC/Fairfield area. I've completed a CELTA certificate from Cambridge University and have adapted their teaching methods to that of the language of music. I develop my own software, synthesizers, and tools to assist me in my musical journey, and hopefully yours. Read More
