She completed with a Masters of Music as well as an Artist Diploma at University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music under Dr. Catharine Lees and Mr. Masao Kawasaki. For beginning children, I will usually select Hal Leonard or the Bastien series combined with appropriate solo repertoire. For intermediate students and adults who are beginners, I select from the Suzuki method or Hanon books combined with repertoire. I also like to find out the students' interests (classical, pop, musicals, and so forth) to select combinations of music that will be most engaging for them. I tailor each lesson to the student, and depending on the students needs and goals, create lesson plans with a "project management" outlook that include objectives for the weeks ahead. Read More
