As a musician who values both classical music and improvisation, I teach my students how to use chord sheets very soon after they begin to read music. As a youth, I served as concertmaster of the South Bay Youth Symphony, Azusa Pacific Symphony Orchestra and Texas Christian University Symphony Orchestra.
