For younger children, my methods involve using the Alfred series as the staple of the course, but I also incorporate games and some other things into the lesson to make it fun. For intermediate and Advanced students, it is a completely customized lesson plan to the individual so I can't really say what direction we take before I have had the chance to sit down and analyze their individual needs. I started playing piano at age 5 and finished a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education and Piano Pedagogy from Saint Louis University. My 16 years of classical training helped me attain a teaching position at the Yamaha School of Music in the Philippines and a rewarding teaching career at the Florida Conservatory of Music in Jacksonville, Florida. I have been teaching since 2017. I started off with private lessons in St. Augustine, FL, then proceeded to join the Community School of Music at Stetson University as a Student Teacher in 2017. After graduating from Stetson in 2019, I stayed and taught as a Faculty Teacher at the Community School of Music, having more students. During my tenure, I taught students from four to 85 years old.
