It is very important for students to grasp the fundamentals. For intermediate students, we would progress on a track and focus on what they had for goals. I encourage those ideas in lessons, and I focus on teaching students to play with musicality. For each individual student, I set reasonable goals for them at the end of each lesson. I began teaching privately in 1999 when i started music school at the university of alabama. I then moved to Miami in 2006where i taught through the school of music.
