That being said, I believe every student will work at their own pace. We will work together on goals that are realistic during the time frame. Most recently, she served as Assistant Professor of Music at Oklahoma Panhandle State University, teaching applied music lessons, class piano, and online music appreciation while also serving as a collaborative pianist for choirs, student recitals, and faculty performances. She previously taught as Adjunct Lecturer in Piano and Staff Pianist at Merrimack College, where she guided students in applied piano and collaborative work, and as Adjunct Piano Instructor at Magdalen College. Written by a couple who are educated both in music as well as child development, I believe that this is a great mix of developmentally appropriate pacing and fun. For adults, I try to focus on personal goals as well as music reading background, while I'm happy to recommend a method book (such as Alfred's great Adult Piano series). Read More
