I am a multi-instumentalist/performer/teacher who loves working with students of all ages and musical backgrounds. My specialty is classical music, but I am also a singer/songwriter! I live as a freelance oboist, pianist, and vocalist in New York City, and am currently recording my first full length album. While oboe and piano are my wheelhouse, I feel comfortable teaching the following instruments: guitar, clarinet, flute, bassoon, ukulele, and folk/pop voice. Read More

When I work with a student, I like to think of myself a motivational coach. I like to share the excitement of every new discovery and accomplishment! When working with younger students, I make sure that the lesson is interactive and fun, while giving clear instructions. Having a sense of humor is also a great motivator, as well as keeping in mind the childs age and attention span. When working with older students and adults, I like to suggest practice materials that are interactive as well. Read More

I have been playing clarinet since grade school, saxophone since high school, and picked up piano in college. I have also performed in many ensembles, such as the Messiah College Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra. Read More

I may also speak in depth about musical history, style, or even the psychology of music. I think this combination draws students into the mind of a musician, and gets them to start thinking like one.
