After a few months, I begin adding solo repertoire that is appropriate for age and ability. For middle school age students and adults, I start with Alfred's Basic Piano, Adult, Level 1. We will extensively on flexibility and scales through out all stages of development as well as intonation on the instrument. For all students, learning and being comfortable with all scales and keys is an essential fundamental skill I teach.
