In middle school, I began performing and teaching music during the summers at Vacation Bible School for children ages 3-10. Throughout high school, as a member of a variety of bands, I performed at a wide array of venues around New England. During this time, I ventured into song writing and musical arrangement. I enjoy making sure students of all ages can begin their instrumental adventure with a solid foundation and the right knowledge to inspire self-efficiency. My general pedagogical goal is to set students up with lessons that can be interpreted to other parts of life. Learning discipline, focus, problem solving skills, awareness, and interpretation in the practice room is useful in every aspect of life. Another goal is to develop the student in such a way that a passion for music and the arts is grown.
