I have also, in the state of Iowa, played with a number groups including churches, rock bands, New Orleans style brass bands, British style brass bands, symphonic bands, symphony orchestras, chamber groups, and musical theater pit orchestras. Outside of performing, Tommy teaches brass extensively both online and in person with 10 years of international teaching experience. He serves as the brass faculty of the Performing Arts Center of MetroWest, and teaches brass at Note-worthy Experiences Music Studio and Brimmer and May School. I began teaching when I was a freshman in High School and I continued with a full-time load of students throughout all four years because of how much I loved it! Eventually adding some beginner adult students into my rotation of kids as well! I taught a few college level students throughout my college years whenever I could and took on summer students during my breaks! Each student is unique in their own way and is able to learn and apply musical concepts differently; therefore I take a careful and studious approach to make sure that my students have the best advantage by creating a custom lesson plan specific to their learning pace.
