I graduated from UNC-SA through both their highschool and collegiate programs. After earning my violin performance degree I continued to travel around the United States and Japan, teaching violin everywhere i went. My curriculum is unique for each individual depending on their goals and age, however I generally start beginners out with Hal Leonard’s Essential Elements for Strings, and a few of my own exercises as needed. After they have become comfortable with the violin I begin them on the Suzuki books or other solo repertoire. As the student progresses I gradually phase out Essential Elements and replace it with elementary scale books and exercise books. Read More

In the summer of 2019, I attended the Spoleto Festival in Charleston, SC, as a violinist in the Spoleto Festival Orchestra. In addition to my active performing career, I have also kept up an active violin studio, teaching at the Lawson Academy of the Arts in Spartanburg, SC from 2014-2016, and privately out of my home for the past 7 years. I have also led numerous college and high school level violin sectional rehearsals, including violin sectionals for the Senior High School Orchestra at UNCG Summer Music Camp in 2019, where I was a counselor and rehearsal assistant, the UNCG Symphony Orchestra, and the Converse Symphony Orchestra, and working as a regular sectional coach with the Triangle Youth Symphony. I am a 19 year-old student of Baptist College of Ministry in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. Having grown up the second oldest of five siblings, I understand how to relate to other people and work with them even in difficult situations. As a Christian, I believe in good character principles and righteous living. I ultimately desire the best for others rather than myself. I began teaching private lessons ten years ago while in high school under my own music instructor. She assigned me younger students to co-teach with her as a way to grow my teaching skills. In college I ventured out on my own and began offering private music lessons out of my home.
