I love music and love creating music experiences with others. I was in the I violin section in the Fairbanks Symphony orchestra the last few years. I received my Suzuki Teacher Certification for Violin books 1-6 in 2018. I received my Bachelors of Arts in Violin Performance in May of 2016. This is achieved through setting and attaining specific goals and keeping a student engaged with the decision making process of what they want to play. It takes a couple of lessons for me to get to know how the student learns but once I do, I will adapt my teaching style to how a student learns best while still encouraging them to learn in different and new ways. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! I tailor things to each students age, level and goals. I think anyone is able to learn an instrument and understand that we each learn and approach things differently. Some students are more oral or visual learners. I encourage students to practice at least four days a week and keep a practice log. Young stundents are rewarded by stickers for their weekly practice. Read More
