I explain that it will be awkward to hold the bow in correct position because it is unusual for person to hold the right hand that way. While it is important to correct errors in order to be able to learn, i think it is equally if not more important to focus on a students accomplishments. In addition to performing with the Discovery Middle School and Timber Creek High School orchestras, I participated every year in the all-county and all-state orchestras and served as associate concertmaster of the Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra. I completed a double major in general music and engineering at Northwestern University in Chicago.
