I’ve been playing violin and viola for nearly twenty years and I love to share my passion for music with others. I’ve played in symphonies, string quartets, musicals, jazz bands, operas, and even rock shows. I have both a bachelors and a masters in music performance, but I still like making time in my life for my other interests- I love to hike, draw, and make lace! In addition to teaching and performing, I also love to compose. Read More

I did not intend to make teaching my life's work. Aside from teaching a few students while I began performing in various folk bands, and working in technology during the day, I was busy bringing up my daughter. After many years of maintaining a technology career, I took violin lessons with Michael Snow who introduced me to a life changing "Creating Your Life" course taught by Robert Fritz. Using the tools of creative visualization, I imagined a life of fulfillment, joy and music. Read More

I began teaching when I was a freshman in High School and I continued with a full-time load of students throughout all four years because of how much I loved it! Eventually adding some beginner adult students into my rotation of kids as well! I taught a few college level students throughout my college years whenever I could and took on summer students during my breaks! Now that I am done with college I am very excited to begin teaching students of all ages again and sharing my love and appreciation of music with them. Read More

I have been teaching for over five years, taking on students as young as 5 and as young as 65. ;) I have taught both privately, in duos, and in larger groups. My teaching experience has been very multi-faceted. For one student, I'll be teaching a Bach Minuet, and for the next it could be a Lord of The Rings excerpt! I like to emphasize the importance of practice and playing your instrument on a regular basis to accelerate progress. Read More

My story in the music begins with the study of Venezuelan folk music. Later, as a violist, I was a founding member of the Youth Symphony Orchestra "Raimundo Pereira" (One of the Orchestras of "The Sistema") in Venezuela. I studied lyrical and popular song with Masters William Alvarado and Inés Feo La Cruz. I have two records production, the first, named Por el Medio Oriente, it is a musical project that fuses the sounds and rhythms prevalent in Middle Eastern music and culture and the second named Preludio y Coda, a romantic CD. My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 3 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in my home studio for the last 1 year. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. I've also found that a combination of classical and modern music can go a long way in helping students enjoy the piano and motivate them to practice and continue to learn. Read More
