In voice, I let my students' goals guide their lessons. Whether it be stage performance, studio recording or personal satisfaction, I will use a variety of techniques to help them reach their individual goals. In violin and viola, I teach the Suzuki method combined with some contemporary and fun improvisation. I teach theory, but also how to communicate with musicians in general. I started teaching privately in 2010, beginning with in home lessons. Since then I have taught in a private studio, working with students of all ages, levels, and musical sounds. I have even taught classes at the college level, focusing on music theory and history of rock and roll. What I love about teaching music is how I get to share my passion for music and the arts with my students, show that how great it is, and guide them to reaching their own musical goals, exceed their own expectations, and grow as individuals. I am a recent graduate of the University of Connecticut music department holding a bachelor's degree in music - vocal performance. I currently sing for a number of professional choirs, and teach private voice, piano, and guitar. I took voice lessons for 8 years, piano for 15, and guitar for 9.
