I always start with a strong Classical Foundation, and also specialize in Musical Theatre and Contemporary Styles. Some students love classical music, and we work on Italian arias...while others love 80s Metal Bands, and we work on healthy ways to approach contemporary music. I will also help a student with any outside pieces for school or the community. Piano Lessons: For beginning students who are very young, I start with Bastien Piano Basics or Hal Leonard Essential Elements. For adults/teens, I use the KJOS Bastien book for adults or the upper level books by Hal Leonard. I also have my students play popular pieces or holiday pieces of their choosing in addition to their classical repertoire. Read More

For children, I focus on the comprehension of pitch and note reading. If the child has a song that he or she wants to sing, then we will pursue it if it is vocally fitting. If not, I have a variety we can choose from. We also will pursue the fundamentals of music theory in our lessons as well. I am a determined and driven teacher who loves to share my passion for music with my students. I graduated this spring from Oklahoma City University with my Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. My music career has given me the opportunity to sing in many different styles including Opera, Jazz, Music Theatre, Pop, Rock, Country, and more.
