My teaching experience began when I was in high school, and has continued throughout my higher education. Most of my teaching experience is with children ages 4-15, however I am comfortable teaching students of all ages and of varying skill levels. My goal and main priority as a teacher is to help my students achieve, then surpass their musical aspirations. I tend to use the first couple of lessons to get a feel for the students musical goals along with their current musical ability.Upon initial assessment of the students goals playing level, I formulate a lesson plan that will most accurately develop the skills necessary to achieve their goals. I also strive to incorporate creative ways to keep my students inspired and eager to learn more. Read More

For beginners young adults as well as children, I like to start with the basics simple vocal exercises building up the cardio teaching them how to breathe correctly so when it is actually time to sing songs they have the essentials needed. For intermediate and adult students I like to get an Outlook of who they are, there goals and aspirations long-term and short-terms for their voice and music in general and I use that to develop a personalized lesson based off of the information that they gave me so that I have their they're up most attention and can Ensure the best results from my teachings. If a student comes in knowing absolutely nothing about music, I will start with teaching basic music theory. Extensive knowledge of music theory is not essential, but a basic grasp will make the learning process much smoother. From there - for stringed instruments - we'll move onto hand conditioning. Musicians use muscles that everyday people do not (also, playing guitar hurts until you fingers calluses). Then, we move onto chord shapes and eventually we'll learn full songs. Read More
