In 2016, I graduated from Belmont University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance. Each lesson will be solely based around the needs and wants of the student based on their age-level, experience, and goals as a musician. We will work on many different vocal exercises and warm-ups to make sure we are strengthening every part of the vocal range. Ear training and music theory exercises can be implemented as well for those students who would like to improve their overall musicianship. As for repertoire, students may bring in whatever they are interested in learning, and/or I am more than willing to choose songs that I think would be fun and challenging within the genre the student wishes to learn. I work with each student in regard to his/her own singing goals- whether they be for therapy reasons, recreational/hobby, academic/school, or professional reasons. I customize lessons to include these goals and to work with the singer's strengths and weaknesses. Every lesson includes vocal warm-ups that are tailored to each singer's individual voice and gifts. Repertoire is aimed at satisfying and expanding these goals.
