My studio is a place to sound bad. It's a place to make as many mistakes as possible. Your voice may crack, you may hate the way it sounds in your head, but good practice involves failure. If you are in my studio, you are here to work. Practice is not necessarily fun. I started teaching private singing lessons five-years-ago while still in college. Starting off, I was teaching classical and pop vocal technique to fellow college students. As time progressed I expanded, and began teaching children (ages five-to-twelve) songwriting, guitar, piano and performance. I taught part-time until a year ago when started my own private studio in Southern California. I had eight students ranging from kids who had never played an instrument, to teenagers applying to music conservatories. Read More

For children, teens, and adults who are Voice students at any level, their first lesson will consist of getting to know each other, what the student wants to learn, and gauging the student's vocal ability. After that, I will ask the student to make a list of songs they have always wanted to sing and show them how to acquire the sheet music. While my degrees were both received within the requirements of a classical genre, my passion and style are no where limited to it. I teach and perform across the board and have especially a love for musical theater. I'm an experienced singer and musician with a large background in performing, music theory, and writing music. I studied piano for 12 years and have been singing my whole life. I have studied musical theater, opera, classical, and pop music over the years. I've performed in many musicals, operas, and cabaret shows throughout high school and college, and have been in a number of pop/rock bands from 2010 to the present. Read More
