I began taking piano lessons when I was about four years old and voice lessons when I was seven. I was involved in Certificate of Merit for voice and for piano. I studied music at UC Santa Cruz and graduated in 2012. I was exposed to many contemporary pieces and had a wonderful experience in a small but strong department. I began teaching informally to other musicians as part of my music practice, and found that I had a love of passing on what I've learned. I began teaching voice and beginning piano in 2019, and have kept it up ever since. I have taught pre-K children through adult professionals, with every age and skill level in between. My teaching started at my time at West Valley College. As a teacher assistant, I assisted students of a wide range of ages and levels. My experience as a teacher with younger students comes from my background in music education and choral conducting. I began teaching privately about a year ago. One year after graduating from KD Conservatory, I moved to the Philippines and started my own original band called Alchemy Band. We performed several times a week at local venues. Most of the band members were full-time college students and due to the overwhelming workload, some of the members could no longer keep up with performance demand. I was simultaneously performing with a well-known girl-group called SILK Party Band and eventually became a full-time member performing "Top 40" hits from the 70's to current, 6-7 times a week all over the Philippines.
