I began teaching youth choirs right after graduating High School. With excellent instruction, I began a more studied teaching approach through my pedigogy class at Central Michigan University. Also, I helped my fellow classmates prepare for their performances. I am beginning to teach privately after continuing my vocal study with a Vocal Coach in the Detroit area. I have been passionate instructor and have been playing multi instruments for 15+ years. I graduated with a degree in Psychology and work as an ABA Therapist for autistic children. I have been in multiple bands and recorded a lot of songs. I have toured Michigan and the outer areas. I have had the opportunity to play at the Majestic Theater in Detroit, as well as St. Andrew's. Anyone can learn to sing through persistence, hard work, and healthy practice. Singing helps improve lung capacity, diaphragm muscles, immune system strength, and relieves stress. Reading and performing music also exercises the same areas of the brain that handle math, language, and critical thinking. For my younger students, I focus on breathing, proper posture, and the fundamentals of music. I received my Bachelor of Music in Choral Music Education in 2020, but have been performing since I was 11 years old. I am now a choir director in the Downriver area. I have experience with all populations and ages, allowing me to share the gift of music with anyone and everyone! I taught elementary school for a full year and now work with middle school aged students. While this is my first experience working one-on-one with students, I am teaching over 100 students each day in my choir program to be the best musicians they can be! Read More
