I began teaching Guitar and Piano during college as a way to expand my playing and teaching skills. Over the years I gained extensive knowledge of teaching techniques and how to work with students at all levels, ages, backgrounds, and understanding of theoretical music application. I handle my students with care, respect, and motivate them through positive reinforcement of their milestones while learning. Moreover, I have taught guitar and piano to over 200 students in the last decade - many have pursued careers in music, and some have even surpassed my accomplishments. Read More

My teaching experience dates all the way back to early high school, when I taught piano lessons to kids in my local neighborhood. In college, I continued teaching as a part time job while at home during the summers, and when I returned home from touring, I taught at several studios in the Sacramento area, teaching private voice and piano, and classes I designed curriculum for, such as Musical Theatre for Beginners, "We Sing Disney", and Singing for Ages 8-12. I tailor my lessons to the student and their goals. I pull my methods and practices from experience and A Spectrum of Voices by Elizabeth Blades-Zeller. I also like to teach my students basic music theory to give them a better understanding of how music is structured and to deepen their overall musicianship. For that, I pull from Music in Theory and Practice Volume 1 by Bruce Benward and Marilyn Saker. Read More

I not only teach the students looking to learn their craft, but also those looking to better their ability. My goal is to impart my knowledge and love of music, theater and speech to all of my students. I now teach in my fully equipped home studio in Elk Grove, CA. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. I enjoy Broadway musicals and have always had a desire to learn how to sing. I don't have any particular interest in performing. Just simply want to learn
Allison
I have played the piano since i was 4 and my mom trained me in voice growing up but i have not sang or played the piano since i was 18 and I'm 27 now.
Katelyn
I love to sing, and I've been told by some that I'm okay at it. I'd like to train my voice to become a better singer and maybe make something of myself some day.
