Enthusiasm! Encouragement! Fun! And lots of patience. I'm an energetic and passionate teacher and my goal in teaching is to pass that energy and passion on to my students! I understand that setting realistic goals and moving at a comfortable pace are crucial steps to take in order for this to happen. I also like to provide historical context and break down the "why" behind songs we work on in terms of music theory and songwriting choices, so that students can truly get a grasp on the entirety of the work rather than simply memorizing notes. I provide a care-free and fun environment for students where they have 100% permission to express themselves through music and make mistakes. No two students are the same and I make sure to cater to each individual student's needs and pacing. I reward students with stickers and high-fives when I see that they are taking corrections and improving. Lastly, I always give positive constructive criticism to each student and encourage them to be the best version of themselves when singing. “If I cannot fly, let me sing.” – Stephen Sondheim Read More

Its not going to always be an easy experience learning new things but that does not mean it cannot be fun. I want my students to feel like they are more than enough to play this song or sing that song. I want my students to believe in themselves as much as I believe in them. Read More
