I am a driven and passionate instructor who focuses on students' artistic and personal growth as musicians. I began my musical journey as a singer, moving towards piano and guitar throughout my formative years. In high school, I performed as a choral singer, musical theatre artist, and as a pianist for both jazz groups and worship settings. My voice lessons are tailored solely to the abilities and interests of the student. If they prefer classical repertoire, we work through various art songs in Italian, German, French and English, focusing on technique and diction. If they prefer musical theatre, we have fun with the acting side of it, while learning good technique. I will even do some pop songs, if the student so desires, but these songs are generally much simpler. Read More

As far as methods, I do not believe that there is one system that will work for every student, and so I try to find the right combination for each individual.  For piano students I begin with a combination of Alfred and Faber method books, and also teach different scales for technique.  For voice students I try to pick a combination of vocal exercises, classical music and contemporary music based on the student’s unique voice.  Students learn best from music they are passionate about.  What is most important is finding the right songs for each person. Having fun is paramount! I have a great personality, and teach in a loosely structured environment so the student feels comfortable. No matter the age or skill level, the student will find that their enthusiasm and effort will dictate their progress. I will kindly share knowledge and help give them the tools needed to succeed.
