I take a very detailed and analytical approach to music performance, and this is reflected in my teaching. I believe many students look at a piece of music that seems too difficult and become too overwhelmed to realize that's it's not as difficult as it may first appear. By breaking down music into its components, pitch, rhythm, dynamic, articulation, etc., and tackling each item one at a time, students who thought of music as a strange and foreign language begin to see it as something that just works and makes sense. When in the field of Music Education, I do adhere strenuously to the Standards set forth by The Education Dept, which gives a clear understanding as to what they are supposed to learn during the Grade they have achieved. My teaching experience goes back to while Im in my college years, I began teaching private in my own home studio and go around teaching at students home for two years. I love to share what I receive, and to learn from the experience as Im teaching to my students as well. So far in my teaching experience, I focus on building trust and consistency.
