Instruments: Piano Voice
For the last 5 years, I have enjoyed growing with my voice and piano students. I delight in working with a wide range of students, from beginners to advanced and professional singers. My goal is to discover the true instrument inside of the student, and empower them to use it however they choose. Innovative teaching techniques are my go-to, including movement and acting work. However, I place a strong emphasis on musicianship for beginners to take ownership of their craft. Read More

My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 8 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in my home studio for the last 5 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. I've also found that a combination of classical and modern music can go a long way in helping students enjoy the piano and motivate them to practice and continue to learn. Read More

My teaching experience dates back from high school days teaching church, college, university choirs, and eventually soloists or ensemble group. I have had groups who become champions in multiple competitions, I have had students who became queens of jazz vocal competitions, I have students who eventually became professional musicians and vocal artists, and I coach too while they are in a recording studio especially with first timers. Some of my students love to write their own original songs and I help them be able to choose the right vocabulary, rhymes, rhythm, melody and all. Read More

Growing up with both Suzuki books and Hal Leonard Essential Elements books, those are what I prefer to use. Essential Elements, especially for string players, offers an incredible foundation for beginners. One thing I really love about those books is the use of scales from the start. As a college musician, you quickly learn the importance of scales. I place a high priority on scale practice as it is the foundation of all we play. Read More
Instruments: Voice
Leaning towards Pop/RB/Soul/Jazz, I'm an active performer in New York and Boston area. I'm very passionate and open minded about music and the asthetic and spreading the knowledge is my number one goal. Besides performing, teaching is the way to share and make music more available to the world. I graduated from Berklee College of Music with two Degrees in Voice Performance and Contemporary Writing and Production. Read More
Instruments: Voice
I focus on the voice first - not just repertoire, not just impending auditions or competitions. Building the voice - not just the performance to come - is an approach I have found to yield strong technique that can carry students far past any immediate need. Building range, teaching the function and physiology of the vocal anatomy (moreso as students age), and bringing students to understand their voice as an extension of their heart, mind, and body are all simple goals I have for each student.
