I base my teaching style on the individual student and how they learn.  Some students learn more by rote, others learn more by oral and others learn more by understanding theory.  I always incorporate proper technique so that the student developes as quickly as possible. For those students who like working from a more traditional sense I work primarily with the John Thompsen and Bastien Piano Methods. Other students, especially students that start at an older age I work immediately by having them play familiar songs and melodies and as their technique improves providing them with more difficult music to play. I have been singing and performing professionally for 15+ years in the opera and musical theatre world. Along the way I have had the opportunity to work with some amazing teachers and artists who have sung throughout the United States and abroad. I am currently on faculty at Queens College-CUNY as a voice instructor to undergraduate and graduate students.
