I am a passionate performer who pushes students to not only do their best, but also to learn the history and theory behind their pieces and have fun while doing so. As a cellist, I have performed with the Bellevue Youth Symphony, Sammamish Symphony, Waynesboro Symphony, and Washington State University chamber groups. I give Suzuki violin, viola and cello lessons. I also use classical method with scales, etudes and solo pieces in my teaching as another option. With fiddle students I use Ann Wheeler method books. My piano students use Faber piano series. My Guitar students use Hal Leonard guitar method and guitar song collections. I’ve been playing cello since kindergarten and teaching lessons since I was a freshman in high school. Music has always been my passion, and helping pass it on is one of my favorite things to do. Since then, I went on to East Carolina University to major in music but just recently transferred to Western Oregon University to pursue a program closer to what I want to do.
