For younger students, I will be using Suzuki Cello School to guide instruction. When students have successfully completed the Suzuki books, I will introduce them to pieces that would be suitable for a recital performance. For adults, I will base instruction off of Suzuki but also find material that will keep the learning process fun and enjoyable. I enjoy teaching all ages, and the most rewarding thing about it is when my students show improvement, take initiative to enter into the larger community (through a recital, stage performance, competition, or other activity), and achieve their goals! To inspire this I teach students at his or her own pace. I read a great amount of classical literature and study allot of history; I say this to acknowledge the fact that I don't only teach proficiency in the music discipline.
