For beginners, we start with the fundamentals of playing and caring for the instrument as well as the basic of reading music.  As the student starts to get a firm grasp on the fundaments, we will begin moving towards the goals of the student. I have also adjudicated and taught masterclasses. I've found a passion for working with others that I didn't know that I had. Then, depending on age and experience, I build a custom program for the student, which may include using various books, resources, and even materials which I have created. Instrumental lessons usually follow the method book that is selected by their school band director.
