I believe music is one of the most important things you can have in life. Guitar is the instrument that I feel most connected to. I started playing about six years ago, but playing music has been a part of my life going back 16 years, when I was learning drumset. I've also become quite fluent with piano. As a songwriter, I use all three instruments to express myself in different ways. Read More

For new learners I always start with an introduction to the instrument i.e. its makeup, terminologies, history etc . . . and printed material to help the student acheive an understanding of the fundamentals of the instrument. For Intermediate/Adult learners, I will get to know whath he/she is looking to learn or what area they want to grow in and plan the lessons accordingly. Read More

Many self taught drummers learn bad habits which become very difficult to break as they get older. We will break these habits if needed. The most important thing for me is to make sure my students are having fun and developing an interest and deep appreciation for their craft. By taking into account their personal goals and aspirations, while also implementing long and short-term goals, my students enjoy rapid progress and develop a strong passion for drums. Read More

I played and taught at a company called ABMusic in Perth, Australia which taught Indigenous Australians how to assimilate into soceity through the use of music. Read More

I have been teaching private lessons since 2016, and I have experience with all ages ranging from 11 to 45. While at Slippery Rock University, I assisted in the jazz camp held every year for high schoolers around the state. Part of my undergraduate degree was taking a pedagogy class for an entire semester which consisted of a variety of teaching methods. I have studied music from many teachers over the years who use a variety of styles and methods. Read More

Every student is different. The first lesson I get a read on my student, and find out what music makes them excited. I also find out what their goals are with music. For example, some students may want to be better for school band, and some students may just want to be able to pay with their favorite songs. I teach my students how to read drum set music and provide charts for songs they are learning. Read More
