I volunteered there for 5 years and fell in love with imparting young people with a deeper understanding and appreciation of music. During this time I also attended music camps at McNally Smith and Berklee College of Music. I then moved to Nashville and graduated from Belmont University's School of Music. My teaching style is fairly relaxed. The pace depends on the students' goals and skill level. Most importantly, I want the student to have fun! I like to encourage students to become proficient in reading, but I only will use books that suit the students needs and desires. As such, there is no one book or program that I depend on. Upon my graduation I was accepted into Berklee College of Music on a merit-based scholarship and received my Bachelors of Music in Drumset Performance.
