Since I started working professionally as a drummer at the age of 17, I have had the chance to perform in Europe, America, Africa and Asia, in some of the most prestigious live music venues, festivals and theaters around the globe. I have collaborated on projects with many bands and musicians across all genres from jazz to funk, rock, pop, flamenco, tango, world music and classical music. Since 2005 I have been a percussionist with the National Dance Academy in Italy, and I am currently playing for the Juilliard Dance Department in New York and the Merce Cunningham Trust in New York. When it comes to teaching music, the student is the first priority. If the student is interested in playing rock music, we will focus on that. If they want to focus on the music they play in school band, we will focus on orchestral and symphonic percussion. Every student is different, and it is a teachers job to tailor the lessons towards a students natural learning style. I make sure to acknowledge my student's accomplishments, give extra attention to areas they need to work on, and generally make sure that they are always learning and having fun. Read More

I approach teaching as a means to help the student develop their own relationship with music development. I firmly believe that all music students are their own best teachers, and a great teacher helps the student learn to discover themselves. With that in mind, I aim to help the student learn the fundamentals of their instrument, expose the student to new musical avenues and ideas that inspire them to work further, and challenge them to reach for new heights in their understanding and proficiency. For beginning students we usually start with sitting at 2 drum sets and learning to hold the sticks. It's then about trying to get the sticks to strike the drum and practice getting a nice sound on the instrument. Even at a young age, it's important to help the students to think about tone and how we are creating sound on these instruments. I use the same technique on the vibes, learning to hold 2 or 4 mallets and just creating simple sounds. Read More

I am a singer/songwriter who has a deep love for music and harmony and I am keen to sharpen my skills as a private instructor. I graduated Berklee College of Music in 2022 with studies in guitar and a degree in Composition, after becoming an alumni of the Future Music Project youth ensemble at New York's famed Carnegie Hall in 2017. I have been playing guitar for 10 years and have recorded vocals, guitar and bass with a number of my musical contemporaries. Read More

When it comes to teaching, the one constant look for in all of my students is a budding passion for music. For some, it may take more time to develop said passion, but that is okay! Everyone moves at their own pace, and it differs from person to person. I firmly believe everybody has things they are good at, regardless of skill level, and I do everything in my power to hone in on those skills to make them the best they can be. Read More
