When it comes to entry level learning, I believe that music is a language, and as such it is very important to develop the ear (call and response, ear Training methods), along with the theory (Technique) in the most organic and natural way. I've been teaching for over 10 years now and I truly enjoy helping my students get more out of themselves. I started on classical piano at a young age, then played a whole lot of guitar focusing on the likes of Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix and more, before joining marching band and jazz band diving deep into drums. In College I started playing bass in bands in Manhattan, and I believe it's this transitions of hopping to many different instruments, starting on the piano, that makes it easy for me to relay the main musical concepts to my students that overlap through all of these instruments. I encourage this concept by working to set achievable goals for my students. Also I work to better understand and find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs. I started playing drums over 15 years ago and having been teaching professionally for 10 years. I started teaching at age 13 for The Town Of Babylon Summer Music Program. After several years of teaching there I moved on to teaching full time privately with students ranging from ages 7 - 35.
