I've been passionately involved in music for as long as I can remember. In 2015 I graduated from the University of Colorado Denver with a BS in Recording Arts and Music. My passion for the science behind recording and manipulating sound has driven me to experiment on the drum set, and while composing my own music. I am currently professionally performing with The Electro-Soul group Melody Lines who has amazing opportunities like opening for members of The Disco Biscuits, Pretty Lights, Lotus, String Cheese Incident, Particle, Phil Lesh Band, and Karl Denson's Tiny Universe. I graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Music in Music Composition in 2016, my primary instrument of study in that time being drums. I am sure to acknowledge accomplishments, not only by finding and setting milestones with each student to discover during lessons, but by (as effectively as I can) creating opportunities for students to perform a recital and demonstrate what they have learned for friends and family. I also make a point of ensuring students know that their lessons with me are a safe and inclusive space. I began playing piano and attending lessons at age 6 and began playing drums at age 11. I have consistently played in my middle and high school bands and have attended numerous Honor Bands and camps related to concert percussion. After I graduated high school, I began attending LSU to earn an Bachelor's Degree in Music Education, and performed with LSU Wind Ensemble and Tiger Marching Band. I have written hundreds of pages of exercises from which to pull for virtually every difficulty and style. I have played literally thousands of original and cover songs with many bands.
