I am a passionate musician and actor and I want to share my joy of the arts with the world through performance, education, and collaboration. I am originally from Denver, CO where my music journey began. At the age of 5, I began taking piano lessons. A few years later, I began to branch out into drums, inspired by my dad who is also a drummer. This led to many ensemble settings for two decades, including jazz band, symphonic percussion, marching percussion, and rock bands. Read More

I also led the weekly performance programs with up to 25 students, preparing them for seasonal shows at popular venues. I have extensive in-home and online teaching experience as well, which includes arranging optimal commute schedules and recitals at schools and theaters. So, whether the student is a kindergartner singing ABC by Jackson 5, a 14-year-old learning recording basics, a 19-year-old preparing for a national theatre competition, a 40-year-old learning melody writing, or a 70-year-old learning the keys to Tell Me Something Good by Rufus, I can creatively adapt to the student's unique learning style and background on many different instruments. My teaching style is generally laid back. I believe that a student will only work as hard as they want to, and I have little control over that. I focus more on finding out what will make the student want to work hard, rather than forcing them to study something that does not interest them. It's all about getting the student to have a positive musical experience. That being said, I do my best to hold my students accountable, but try to do so in an encouraging way vs. a nagging and controlling way. Read More

For beginning students, I start with the Drummers Complete Vocabulary, which establishes good technique. Simultaneously, based on the students interests, I pick two styles that the student would like to begin working on. Once they've learnt a specific rudiment, I show them how to use that in everyday performance and get creative with it by applying that in beats, fills etc. If the student has a specific song or style that they want to learn, I help them break it down into simple parts so that they can understand and perfect it really easily. I have been a very active performing drummer for the past 20 years. I recorded three albums that were released worldwide with my band Scelerata. I did five Brazilian tours (50+ shows) as Paul DiAnno’s (former Iron Maiden’s lead singer) official drummer, from 2009 to 2014. In the summer of 2017, I recorded Rage In My Eyes’ first album in Los Angeles. In March 2018, I performed with America’s Got Talent winner Bianca Ryan. Read More

It will actually be my first experience at teaching. I'm glad to have chosen Musika for this new experience and can't wait to teach new students what I learnt from my own teachers. I want to transmit my knowledge in drums the best I could and make it fun for everybody. I will make the lesson about the student and what he/she likes and go from there. At the end of the lesson, I just want the student to have learnt new things in a enjoyable way and hope that it will make him/her wants to play and learn more about the instrument. Read More
