I teach students how to play, as well as, read music.  I teach a variety of techniques and styles of music using books and making up lessons for my students.  I teach my students at any age how to play the set, along with snare drum techniques, and play with songs. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Vic Firth books. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce more complicated styles and techniques that are appropriate for their ability. Read More

My method of teaching focuses on Technique and Musicality. No matter the level of student, these areas can be practiced and results will be heard thru the focus on these. Reading music is taught, but naturally along with the focus on the two areas mentioned before. For example, Eddie wants to learn ACDC's "Back in Black". I began teaching in 2009 while I was attending the University of Massachusetts Lowell. While I was a student I began to study with some truly great musicians who really helped me realize my potential. I got some jobs teaching area high school drumlines and marching bands and really enjoyed the experience. When I first started playing I was mostly interested in marching bands and drumlines.
