Some people are more chart based, and like the bars written out in time so they can follow it in a more technical manner. Some have a hard time reading music, so they go off of feel. We learn to hold the sticks the right way so you can play any technique later on. We concentrate on control and sounding clean. We move on to drum beats and fills . I began teaching non officially to other drummers at various gigs across L.A. that liked what they saw during my performances. Because of this I met a lot of amazing individuals who are going to do great things.
