Instruments: Saxophone Flute Piccolo

Honestly, if you name it, I have some experience in playing it. I have competed in different states with both the wind ensemble and jazz band in high school and have held workshops with my college jazz orchestra mentoring saxophone students. I am a composer so I can not only teach how to play an instrument but also how to compose for the instrument and in general. I compose within many genres, from classical to ambient to jazz and hip hop as well as electronic styles. Read More

I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. In 2017, I graduated from Queens College with a Master of Music degree in Jazz Performance(Voice). Performing all over the world has been one of the greater experiences of my life as a musician, and I've had the opportunity to play at Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Festival, Museum of Chinese in America, Flushing Town Hall, Queens Library in New York, as well as touring China as several performances as the singer/band leader with Vivi H. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! It 's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. I prefer one on one lesson time. Parents are welcome to stay and watch if they'd like. I don't have a particular style. As previously mentioned, each lesson is based on the students needs. Praise and honesty are always incorporated into each lesson. Read More

I use different method books, depending on the student's age and past experience (if any). I particularly like the Alfred methods, but I supplement this with solo books and duets. For duets, I like the Alfred Learn to Play Duets, but also the Selected Duets (Rubank) series. I think it's very important for any student to play solos with piano and once students know a few notes, there are really nice pieces they can do. Read More

Instruments: Voice Flute Music

As I pursued my Master’s degree at Rutgers University, I took private lessons from Grammy-winning opera singers such as Eduardo Chama, all while continuing to sing and perform locally. My education in music has taught me to value the relationship between instructor and student, as I know that I learned best when I felt that my instructor was committed to my improvement as a singer. I've served as musical director for multiple theaters in New Jersey in performances of Into The Woods, South Pacific, and Cabaret. Read More
