Instruments: Violin Viola
My teaching style may be very detailed, but I believe that a certain level of firmness, honesty, as well as kindness is needed to provide a successful violin learning experience. I want each student to be able to have fun while also feeling that they are improving as well. Each student progresses at their own pace and I will tailor my teaching according to each students unique learning abilities. I believe that what is most important for a student isn't winning competitions but is finding their own love and inspiration for the music they are creating. Read More
Instruments: Piano Saxophone Clarinet
I was educated from age 7 in Clarinet, reaching the highest award offered by The Associated Board of the Royal School of Music at age 12. I was graded A* for my school music exam (GCSE) a year early, and also gained and A Grade in my college (A Level). Seeking to go to music college I then took ABRSM Grade 6 piano. I played in the Birmingham Schools Wind Orchestra (Principal Clarinet) and the Midland Youth Jazz Orchestra (1st Alto Saxophone). Read More

For young adults or adults, I like to take my students in the direction they want to go, besides teaching them something slightly different just to enrich their background. Read More

Instruments: Voice Music
There is nothing more rewarding that sharing what I love most and helping fuel my student's passion for music. It's important to instill patience and an understanding of the process - changes won't happen overnight but rather over a period of time, and as long as there is progress is the right direction, that's all that matters. I encourage setting realistic goals and finding ways to consistently inspire and motivate my students to propel them forward in their studies. Read More
Instruments: Drums Orchestral Percussion
My teaching philosophy is student centered. I realize that every student is different in their physical or mental capabilities; that each student has different expectations with their relationship to music and with themselves; and that each student has their own strengths, insecurities, and pace of learning. Focusing on what makes each student different and unique is what guides how I teach each student. For example, I've had a handful of students with autism who had limited verbal capabilities. Instruments: Guitar
I've been fascinated with the guitar since I was about 10 years old, having been influenced by all the great rock guitar gods of the sixties and seventies. As I got into high school I became interested in jazz, and started to study jazz guitar. I enjoy many styles of music. I like music that is very passionate and moves and grooves you in various ways. I'm very creative and innovative. Read More
