I'm a freelance flutist in Columbus, Ohio and volunteer musician at the James Cancer Hospital at The Ohio State University. I have recently graduated with Doctoral of Musical Arts at The Ohio State University under guidance of Katherine Borst Jones and as a soloist I have performed for "Franz Devienne Flute Concerto No. 7 in e minor" with The Ohio State University Symphony Orchestra. During my graduate work I taught voice lessons both through the department of music and through the community music program ACMS. My voice students ranged from young beginning singers just learning the basics of singing to seniors in undergrad preparing large roles. Seeing a student progress week by week and really come into their own is why I do this. I want the students to not only know how to play grooves, fills, songs, etc... I want them to actually build on the foundation they have and create new Revenues to expand on. For begining guitar, bass, and key board students I generally work with several method books, and supply supplimentary materials as required. I believe that each student is unique, and what works for one student might not be sutiable for another.
