Though I do not strictly follow the Suzuki method, which involves learning by ear, I often use the Suzuki books and incorporate elements of the method into lessons for students of all ages. This way, students can focus on learning to play violin without struggling to read music at the same time. Separating the two skills can help beginners pick up the instrument more quickly. I will always help students with note reading once they're ready but do not require they start at any particular stage. Read More

In 2012, I graduated from the University of Hawaii with a Bachelors Degree in Music Business. I started a band my junior year of high school called Local Uprising and we have traveled the states, opened up for some of the biggest reggae acts like Steel Pulse, Alpha Blondy, JBoog and Stephen Marley, we had #1 songs on radio and got nominated last year for Reggae Breakout Artist of the Year.
