For beginning students, I prefer to use the Bastien piano method. This serious comes in 4 levels and is very thorough The Bastien series offers numerous books for each level in addition to the lesson book. Each level comes with a recital book, a arepertoire book, and a theory book for students to write in. The solo repertoire book is exciting because it showcases the child's ability to interpret concepts learned in the lesson book. Read More

I am a classical violinist teaching in the Henderson/Las Vegas area. In 2008, I received my bachelor's in violin performance from the University of Denver in Denver, Colorado, and in 2010, I received my master's in violin performance from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. Before moving to Nevada, I performed with various professional orchestras in Colorado and Wyoming, including the Fort Collins Symphony and the Cheyenne Symphony. I love teaching ages 8-adult and work hard to teach each student in the way they learn best rather than sticking to a rigid formula. Read More

As a coach and motivator, my methods are rooted in ultimate self-reliance. The singer on stage stands alone, without their coach at their side. Many of my current and former students tour nationally and globally and have the skills and character to manage their own day to day careers. "Give a Diva a fish and she feasts for a day. Teach a Diva to fish and she feasts for a lifetime." Read More

I believe that every student learns differently in their own way because no one is born the same so I base my teaching methods off that. Every lesson plan is based off key points that the student is trying to achieve and every week pushing their limits little by little so they’re always improving gradually. What’s the student feels comfortable where they’re at I begin diving into deeper subjects and more advanced techniques. Read More

I began teaching private lessons two years ago. I have taught about ten students in my life, and only taught them what they were specifically passionate about. I believe practicing is important, but I do not believe assigning homework is an effective way to make music fun for a student. Music is pointless without the will to learn and the desire to practice. Students will progress only as far they want to take their talents. Read More

I like to get my students to a level at which they can actually make/play music first, using their current favorite genre of music. The sooner they can make sounds on the instrument that resemble something close to "music," the sooner they'll fall in love with the instrument. Once they have reached that level, we then dive in to music theory, guitar specific theory, sight-reading, and all of the other necessary areas of music that tend to deter most potential students.
