Understanding a style of a musical composition is always an important part of my teaching process. There are three elements of how I see a complex musician: emotional reaction to music, intelligent understanding of a musical composition, and the technical ability playing the piece. I always project a long-term and a short-term plans with my students. I believe only mutual interest and collaborate engagement would bring us to the goal. Read More

Im a passionate musician who has discovered the rewards of teaching and inspiring others about music. I began learning clarinet at a young age in the Lynn public schools system in Massachusetts. I was encouraged to further pursue musical studies by certain motivating and inspirational mentors. I attended Boston University and graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Clarinet Performance, then in 2023 with a Master of Music degree also in Clarinet Performance. Read More

I give a very good foundational approach to the learning experience. For example, I teach students how to find the notes on the guitar and the bass. From there on the guitar, I teach the open string chords. On the bass, I give fingering exercises and patterns to work on. With the chords, we look at simple songs to play. On the bass I show them how the bass lines work with songs. Read More

I started piano lessons at the age of 7 (I am now 45) and have never started being involved in music in one way or another ever since. It is both my passion and my career. My passion for music means that I am always learning more about it and working to improve. My career in music has led me on travels around the world; I have played in Rome, Switzerland, Spain, Ecuador, Argentina, and all over the USA. Read More

My main goal is to provide my students with the tools they need while simultaneously engaging their musical interests and personal goals. For beginners I usually start with Hal Leonard method books and work to build a solid foundation of chords and songs. The most important part in my beginner curriculum is to strike a balance of foundational materials as well as fun! I want to make sure practicing is seen as a fun activity. Read More

For beginners, especially younger players, I believe it is best to start with simple pieces to build security. For this I usually try to pick fairly well known melodies that the student likely has in their head already, such as 'Ode to Joy' or 'Jingle-Bells'. By starting with tunes the student already knows, I believe that the learning process becomes much more intuitive. For teens/adults I encourage the student to find out what the students interests/goals are and adjust my lesson accordingly. Read More

Next Fall I will be pursuing a Master's degree from the Conservatory on a full merit based scholarship. I play lead, jazz, classical, and all sorts of pop music. You may find me around Boston playing in musicals, rock clubs, jazz big bands, a small restaurant with a trio, or even subbing in a local orchestra. Read More
