I like to get an idea from the student and the parent what their expectations are for music lessons. From there, the student and I come up with musical goals to accomplish for that year. We create a practice schedule based on the student's school and extracurricular activities and try to follow that schedule as much as possible. My name is Jenna G and I am currently a senior at Texas AM University (Whoop!). Music has been an important part of my life since I started playing piano in 2005. Clarinet became my primary instrument when I started band in middle school, and since then I have had incredible experiences both in teaching music and with performing. I am currently the principal clarinetist in the Texas AM Wind Symphony, but I have also had the privilege to play with the Texas All-State Philharmonic Orchestra in 2017 at the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Convention, with the AM Wind Symphony at Midwest in Chicago in 2019.
