I teach students the basic guitar skills and musicianship. I believe with a good foundation students can progress really quickly. For beginning students, I teach them basic chord structures and chord progressions. For intermediate student, I teach them scales, arpeggios and advance chord progression. And for advance students, I teach them different chord voicing, use of arpeggios during improvisation and modal theory. For instance if a student is interested in Musicals. We will start with our basic warm up and techniques but on top of that I would assign an excerpt from a musical that correlates with the current lesson. While there, I studied with Richard Miller, regarded by many as one of the greatest voice teachers of the 20th century.
